Awesome Vintage: Nerd Nest

Shopping for vintage can be a fun experience.  The thrill of the hunt is half the fun for some people, but for others the idea of sifting through stores full of "other people's stuff" to find that one gem is a daunting task. So what to do?  Leave it to the experts, like the adorable duo Jake and Megan.  With a love for all things vintage, they've got some amazing finds in their Etsy store.  Check out their blog too to find out what's happening in the Nerd Nest.

Their vinyl record bookends were featured on the front page of Etsy.

Instant vintage thermos collection.

All their holiday decor is 15% off.

Totally lusting after this little beauty.  Who wants to buy it for me for Christmas?

Backyard Ink and Six Floors Up

Talk about a cute overload, this pair of shops has got adorableness down to a science.  It must run in the family (they're sisters).  Heather of Six Floors Up produces baby onesies, plushes, re-usable gift bags, and more all with sweet embroidered animals and floral designs.  BackyardINK is a husband wife team, Chris and Tina, that create their own stationary, prints, wedding invites, and other paper goods.  They try to use as many recycled materials as possible in the production of their products, and their designs are original and whimsical.

Hello one and all.  Not only am I the author of this lovely blog, but I will also be selling my wares at the Honeypot Shop on Saturday.  My business name is emmy-ray and I create hand made jewelry, using new and vintage pieces.  Some of the work is fabricated from scratch, and to make some if it I utilize found objects and other media.  No matter what my jewelry design is always feminine, whimsical, and quirky.

Ruff House Art

Letterpress has become such a hot trend in the past few years, and Jill of Ruff House Art creates beautiful stationary, calendars, and other fun items like coasters with this classic medium.  Her eye for design helps her to come up with unique pieces that are sure to please the people on your holiday list.  Plus how could you resist her beautiful up-cycled bathtub couches?  That's right, you have to see them to believe them.  So come see Jill at the Honeypot Shop this Saturday.
